Yesterday we were unable to go to little Emma because of the snow. Instead, we cleaned and greased our own carrycot (kinderwagen) and prepared for when we have our own little one to carry around. For the car seat (the ‘maxi cosi’) I made a garland with little felt hedgehogs that I bought years ago in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It’s very cute, don’t you think?
With the snow already falling in the Netherlands (and not melting immediately, can you imagine!) there is extra reason to do some ‘upcoming winter baby’ preparations. My sister gave us this cute ‘skiing outfit’ for the baby – it’s from a Nordic brand that I love: Polarn O. Pyret.
To go with the suit, I knitted a little baby hat (for when the ice age is really coming back, you see 😉 ) and I’m very happy with the result, although it cost me a lot of time to figure out the exact pattern. Here is the pattern (in Dutch, if anyone’s interested, I’ll happily translate), it’s very easy! Mutsje baby simpel
